These terms govern the use of the Zebrania service (zebrania.edu.pl) — the tool a teacher uses to organize parent-teacher meetings, and guardians use to book slots and pass statements about their children.
By using the service you accept these terms. We wrote them in plain language, because they are meant to be read, not merely accepted.
Terms used in this document
- Service — Zebrania, available at zebrania.edu.pl and app.zebrania.edu.pl.
- Operator — the entity running the Service.
- Teacher — a user who runs a class or organizes events. They create an account themselves, as an individual.
- Guardian — a parent or legal guardian of a child, who joins a class or books a slot from a link received from a Teacher.
- Statement — information about a child that a Guardian passes through the Service to a chosen Teacher (for example contact details, a health statement, pickup authorizations).
What the service is
The Service enables, in particular:
- creating events (meetings, open days) and booking slots through a link — with no account required of the Guardian,
- managing a class list and staying in touch with guardians,
- passing Statements to the homeroom teacher — instead of paper slips,
- email and SMS notifications about bookings and dates.
The core features of the Service are free. If we introduce paid features, their scope and price will be clearly marked, and nothing you use for free will become paid without notice.
Account and access
- A Teacher creates an account themselves and is responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide.
- A Guardian uses the Service through a link received from a Teacher; they may also create an account.
- You protect access to your account yourself: share sign-in links with no one and never act from someone else's account.
- An account is personal — a Teacher acts in the Service as an individual, not as a school.
The role of the Service: a messenger, not a recipient
The Service carries, stores, and renders Statements on the Guardian's behalf. The Operator is not the recipient of Statements, does not decide what they are for, and is not a party to consents made between a Guardian and a school (for example image-publication consent).
The Service publishes nothing. Whoever publishes (for example photos) is responsible for keeping the publication lawful.
The school as an institution is not a party to the agreement to use the Service. The Operator signs no data-processing agreements with schools.
Teacher obligations
- Use the information received from Guardians solely for the purpose it was shared for — running the class and organizing events.
- Do not pass it on beyond that purpose, and do not copy it outside the Service beyond what is necessary (for example a printed list for an event).
- How you use the information in your work is your responsibility and — within the scope of its duties — your school's.
Guardian obligations
- Provide information that is true and current — the school relies on it to keep your child safe.
- Submit Statements only about a child whose parent or legal guardian you are.
- When entering a third party's data (for example a person authorized for pickup), inform them — the Service never contacts them.
What is not allowed
In the Service you must not:
- impersonate others or submit statements on someone else's behalf without authority,
- introduce unlawful or offensive content,
- disrupt the Service, circumvent its safeguards, or harvest other users' data,
- use the Service for purposes other than organizing class work and school-guardian contact.
The Operator may block an account that grossly violates these terms. If we do, we will explain why.
Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service running without interruption, but — like all software — it may have technical downtime and bugs. We schedule maintenance outside the hours when the Service is needed most.
The Service evolves: features may change. We announce changes that materially affect how you use it in the Service.
Liability
The Operator is responsible for running the Service in accordance with these terms and the law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you hold mandatorily under the law, in particular consumer rights.
The Operator is not responsible for the contents of Statements — they originate with Guardians — nor for decisions a school makes based on them.
Personal data
How data is processed — including whose data lives in the Service, who can see it, and how to delete it — is described in the Privacy policy. It is part of the rules for using the Service.
Ending your use of the Service
You may stop using the Service at any time. Account deletion is carried out by anonymizing your data — the details are in the Privacy policy. You manage Statements yourself in the app: you can withdraw them without deleting your account.
Complaints and contact
Report problems and complaints through the "Report a problem" button in the app. We respond within 14 days at the latest.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for important reasons: changes in the law, changes to the Service's features, or security. We will announce changes in the Service before they take effect. The date of the current version is stated at the top of the page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Polish law. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection granted by provisions that cannot be excluded by agreement.
